Daniel W. Sasaki, Managing Partner (London), was a Managing Director of SOFTBANK Europe Ventures, a $600 million fund backed by SOFTBANK for early and expansion stage technology investments in Europe and Israel, from 2000 to 2002.  Based in London, he invested in a variety of best-of-breed companies in the wireless, data networking, Internet security and software domains across Europe and Israel.  Prior to joining SOFTBANK, Daniel was an Investment Director of the Private Equity Division of Credit Suisse First Boston. Matt Rothman, Managing Partner (London), was CEO of SOFTBANK Emerging Markets, a $200 million fund established by SOFTBANK Corp. and the International Finance Corp., from 2000 to 2002.   He launched and operated offices in Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Warsaw, Johannesburg and San Francisco. Prior to joining SOFTBANK, Matt was a strategic consultant to a number of venture-backed startups focusing on capital formation, business development, and alliances.  Until February 1998, Matt was General Manager of Sony Online Ventures, and Senior Vice President of Sony New Technologies, the strategic development arm at Sony Corp. of America. Heather Killen, Managing Partner (London), served as Senior Vice President, International Operations, of Yahoo! Inc., a SOFTBANK portfolio company, from January 1998 to June 2001, and previously as the company’s Managing Director, European Operations, from September 1996 to December 1997.  In the course of five years Heather spearheaded the establishment of owned and operated companies for Yahoo! in more than 20 countries, managing what is widely regarded as the most successful international expansion of any Internet business during that time.  Prior to joining Yahoo!, Heather was Director, European Online Services, for Ziff-Davis, a technology publishing company also in the SOFTBANK portfolio, from 1994 to 1996, and Director of Business Development from 1992 to 1994.
