Hemisphere Capital provides a range of business development and advisory services. These services are provided on a consulting basis to development stage companies as well as major technology, telecommunications and media corporations.

For development stage companies, Hemisphere provides strategic business and operational planning advice. This ranges from consulting on specific projects or transactions, to facilitating introductions to a broad spectrum of potential customers and channel partners across the globe. For larger enterprises, Hemisphere can help develop broad strategic plans for targeting certain sectors or geographies. Hemisphere can also identify and introduce strategic or investment relationships with fast-growing smaller companies to meet specific objectives.

Recent client assignments have included:

China Multi-Media Networks is a leading Chinese television production and management company. CMMN produces thousands of hours of television programming a year for such clients as Viacom, the BBC and News Corporation. CMMN also manages ad sales and program acquisition for independent television stations in China. Hemisphere is arranging a debt facility for the company in conjunction with its A-round equity investment.


Argogroup, based in the UK, specialises in 'user experience optimization' for mobile services. Its software helps mobile operators and handset manufacturers test, monitor and develop their products and services.

Argogroup's Monitor Master identifies usability, compliance, interoperability and performance problems before users do. It is used by over 35 mobile carriers in Europe and the US, including Vodafone, T-Mobile and AT&T.  Device Master provides handset makers and carriers the tools to improve performance and compatibility with value added services such as ringtones and photos.

Hemisphere provided strategic advice and introductions to key Chinese customers in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, including the world's largest mobile carrier, China Mobile, to accelerate the company's revenues in the region. The result has been three trials for Argogroup's software.


Cityspace is a London-based developer and manager of urban digital networks. It designs kiosks for transportation information (integrated into bus shelters), transactions and mobile telecommunications.  

The Company has networks in 50 locations in the UK, as well as Sweden and Belgium, with a total of 280 live installations. Currently, there are 250,000 users per month accessing its I-Plus kiosks. It also provides wireless operators, such as T-Mobile, the ability to fill in coverage gaps by leasing space within the kiosks for base-stations.

 

Hemisphere developed a business opportunity to enter the China market in preparation for the Shanghai World Exposition 2010. The city, which has a population of over 20 million, expects to invest $3.4 billion in new construction and host 70 million visitors in dozens of languages.


VI Group designs, develops and supplies Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software that radically enhances the efficiency of the design and manufacturing process in industry. Its software enables leading edge design, and also drives the machine tool to cut the designed component. VI is one of the few CAD/CAM companies to provide this capability to the specialist and demanding mould tool and die industries. The software is marketed under the brand names of VISI-Series and machining STRATEGIST.

 VI Group is based in the United Kingdom and has offices in Italy, Japan, France, Canada and the United States.  The company's VISI-Series and machining STRATEGIST software has more than 12,000 users worldwide in many diverse industries such as Electronics, consumer goods, automotive, government, Aerospace, toys and jewellery. Users of the software include such household names as Daimler Chrysler, Ducati, Ferrari, General Dynamics, Ford, Samsung, Siemens and Sony.  It is supported through more than 70 outlets in over 40 countries, and has been translated into more than 10 languages.  Company sales have grown every year since inception and growth has averaged more than 20 per cent a year over the past five years.  In 2002, VI Group posted £7.5 million in revenue, an increase of 16.8 percent over the previous year.
